As a council member she served on various boards and committees including vice-chairing the national league of cities university communities council ,
Member of community and economic development committee, member of council on youth education and family ,also member of women in municipal government as a member of national league of cities

Was also a member of Texasmunicipal league, and was on their executive board
Founded the hispanic museum of waco as her legacy to wacoans and future generations
Was a past president of the Kendrickneighborhood association and served as past vice-president of avance waco board of directors , president of hot of Texascouncil of government (Hotcog)

Alicewas married to the late Joerodriguez whose dedication and commitment to our community is evident in his 20 years of service as the president and CEO of the centex hispanic chamber of commerce.
