Victoria:
The youngest of 5 siblings, I was born in the small town of Big Spring located in West Texas and I moved to Dallas at a young age. During my days at W.T. White High School I found love for community outreach and spreading joy in my community which led me to participate in my church's youth group and join varsity athletics as a cheerleader. After graduation I began my career working in the printing industry where I would experience success. I worked my way up through the ranks as a Graphics Team Lead, Graphics Manager, and eventually achieved the role of Production Manager for Valerian Technologies, a national printing company. While I was thankful for the opportunities at that point in my career, I knew that I could have a greater and more fulfilling impact in my community. Growing up I was fortunate to have a supportive family system where my mother and father always encouraged me to follow my dreams and to DREAM BIG. Persistence, hard work, and managing others through servant leadership are qualities that allowed me to excel and achieve new heights in my career. Those same leadership qualities along with the ideals instilled by my parents created a fire in me to embark on my next adventure - business ownership! I was blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime and decided I would use it to bring the first HOTWORX to Waco! I'm proud to be a Hispanic female business owner and want aspiring young women (and men) out there to be encouraged to DREAM BIG as well! It doesn't necessarily matter where you come from or how many degrees you have, if you want it make a plan and go get it! I am truly grateful for the community acceptance thus far and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

Wow, tough act to follow but here goes! I'm the 2nd oldest in my family of 4 and was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I also graduated from WT White but oddly enough Victoria and I never crossed paths until 10 years after graduation. Funny how that worked out! After high school I attended undergraduate at SMU in Dallas where I graduated with a BS in Economics and Finance. After graduation I was ready to be rich...but the depression of 2008 had something different in store for me. Over the next 3-4 years I felt like a hamster on a wheel just spinning and spinning but going nowhere fast! In 2012 I finally found some success in the world of mortgage finance and was able to advance my career trajectory into management, but I still felt like my true calling was somewhere else. In November 2017 I was laid off. Sounds terrible, but timing was actually just right (sometimes you gotta have faith)! My parents taught me to smile in the face of adversity and let your faith take control, and that's what I did! After about a year of research and planning Victoria and I came up with the crazy plan to throw away all of our professional advances to that point and GO FOR WHAT MAKES US HAPPY. We decided that HOTWORX was something we knew would be refreshing and innovative in Waco. We knew HOTWORX was something that could help others both physically and mentally so we had to make it happen, and we are so happy we did! We are absolutely blessed to be a part of the Waco community and I look forward to building relationships and growing with this community. As I Hispanic business owner I encourage everyone to dream big, take action, and go get whatever it is that makes you happy!
